The 2024-25 English Premier League will be one to remember. Last year, we were treated to late drama, as Manchester City came from behind — yet again — to spoil both Arsenal and Liverpool’s hopes at victory in the Prem. Arsenal and Mikel Arteta held on for weeks as they saw the lead slowly dwindle and Manchester City slowly catch back up, surpassing the gunners in the last few weeks.
This year, we can expect the same fanfare, drama, last-minute goals, and incredible games. We can’t wait to see strikers bury crosses in the back of the net and goal-line clearances from defenders and keepers. So, how do you think the English Premier League table will look at the end of next season?
2024-25 English Premier League Table Predictions
Pundits, players, and fans can all guess how the table is going to look at the beginning, middle, and end of the season for the 2024-25 English Premier League based on stats, facts, figures, and transfers. Based on Grosvenor Sport’s supercomputer, it seems as though Manchester City is going to finish in first place with Erling Haaland and Pep Guardiola at the helm.
Meanwhile, the Gunners who achieved second place last year — which was a great finish considering their years prior — will end up with 86 points, a whopping almost three games behind City who end the season in first place. For Liverpool and the Reds, it seems as though Jurgen Klopp’s successor Arne Slot will do well for the first time managing big-name players like Mo Salah and Virgil Van Dijk. His team will earn 71 points on the season — which is 15 behind Arsenal — and potentially earn a Champions League spot to play European football next year.
Farther down on the list is Aston Villa, a team that ended four last year due to perseverance and great tactics, but is considered to end lower on the ladder in sixth place at the end of the English Premier League season. The Spurs will come right below them in seventh place, with West Ham ending in eighth place on the ladder.
The last two top-ten teams for the English Premier League predictions include Newcastle United and Brentford, a shocking inclusion that many people would assume would be in the relegation zone. At the very bottom of the ladder, Grosvenor Sport predicts that Nottingham Forest, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Ipswich Town will all achieve less than 33 points in total in the season, with the latter two dropping back down to the Championship from the English Premier League.
2024-25 English Premier League Format
This season, the English Premier League kicks off in August and runs until May, with each team in the league playing each other one time at home and one time away throughout the season. Each team plays 38 matches, not including domestic cup games, international games, and friendlies throughout the year. It’s an intense 10-month nonstop action and what keeps the league one of the best in the world.
The first games this year are on August 16th, with Manchester United vs. Fulham and Ipswich Town vs. Liverpool. We can’t wait to see what the newly-promoted Ipswich has for the Reds after their third-place finish last year. The following day, tune in to see big games like Arsenal vs. Wolves, to see if Saka and Odegaard continue combining well in the final third, and Nottingham Forest vs. Bournemouth to see who will be at the bottom of the table this season.
