Didier Deschamps has spoken about Kylian Mbappe’s struggles in front of the goal. France had finished another Nations League fixture against Belgium which they won 2-0. The game before that was against Italy. However, Didier Deschamps’s side was woeful as they lost 3-1 to the Italians. Didier Deschamps will appreciate the response to a difficult Belgian side.
Moreover, aside from his appreciation, he also spoke about the struggles of their Real Madrid star, Kylian Mbappe. The 25-year-old had been on a low form for both Club and country. Although he was able to score a brace for his club in their last game, for France, it hasn’t been easy. Didier Deschamps has expressed nothing but confidence in the young Frenchman.

The French Coach spoke confidently about the Real Madrid star. He said: “The French team will always be stronger with him and I’m convinced that in a month he will be better. There are very high demands in his club. With us, he fully assumes his role as captain, even when he is not playing. I have no worries with Kylian.”
He continued about the 25-year-old. He added: “Kylian feels good. Obviously, like almost all players, he is not yet at 100%,” Deschamps told TF1. His dry spell? Knowing his demands on that… Kylian will score goals.”
He added: “We may have focused a little too much on him. It doesn’t happen with the snap of a finger. But I repeat the French team will always be stronger with him. I am convinced that in a month he will be better.”
Deschamps on Criticism
The 55-year-old was unbothered by the whistles from the fans. Moreover, he feels it might affect the team. He said: “I didn’t hear the whistles, But you know, I’m not going to say that I was born with criticism, but it’s part of the game, it’s my responsibility, I’m immersed in everything that’s happening.”
He continued: “It doesn’t influence me, but on the players, the environment… When we come, we support the French team, so the whistles… That people are unhappy, and disappointed, that they show it, why not, but now when the players are on the field… I don’t think it’s for the good of the French team.”
Deschamps on Talents in the team
Didier Deschamps has spoken about using the Nations League games to give room for more talents. This was evident as the Frenchman introduced a couple of young talents into the squad. With the likes of Manu Kone, Michael Olise, and more.
Deschamps said: “I’m sticking to my course, to put as many players as possible in situations where we can test them,” he said. “It is the time to do that even if you lose games. You don’t replace players with 50 caps by snapping your fingers. I’m well aware that I am not putting the team in the best conditions,” he said of the numerous changes to the line-up. “But we have to go through it. It gives us answers.”
