Delhi Capitals have named Jake Fraser-McGurk as a replacement for Lungi Ngidi in IPL 2024. Fraser-McGurk is an Australian top-order batter who recently made his ODI debut against the West Indies last month.
South African pacer Ngidi has been ruled out due to a lower back injury he sustained during the SA20 earlier this year. Hence, the Australian opener who played three matches for Dubai Capitals in the ILT20 this season replaces him. Fraser-McGurk is set to join the Delhi Capitals for his base price of INR 50 lakhs.

With Ngidi’s injury, the Capitals are left with Anrich Nortje and Jhye Richardson as overseas fast-bowling options. Meanwhile, Mukesh Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, and Rasikh Salam are their Indian fast-bowling contingent. Mitchell Marsh is their fast-bowling all-rounder.
Harry Brook Pulls out
Delhi Capitals have also been rocked by the pullout of Harry Brook from the upcoming season following the death of his grandmother in February. This was also the reason why the player made himself unavailable for the recently concluded Test series against India. The franchise is yet to name a replacement for the flamboyant batter.
