Yuvraj Singh has represented India in 40 Tests, 58 T20Is, and 304 ODIs. This telling record also comprises his contributions to quite a few winning campaigns that India has pulled off. His acquaintance with the game and his success in the past make him a worthy addition to the Delhi Capitals.
Ex-RCB Star as Ponting Replacement
If Yuvraj joins the Delhi Capitals, he will be working closely with the Director of Cricket Operations, Sourav Ganguly. The experience that Ganguly brings with him and the fresh perspective offered by Yuvraj could prove to be a heady cocktail. There were murmurs of even Ganguly taking up a coaching role himself, but those plans never materialized.
He has already unofficially mentored players like Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill, helping them improve their game.
