Deion Sanders is one of the biggest names in college football. Whenever he speaks, people listen, whether they are fans or not. One of the most anticipated launches this summer for fans of the sport is EA Sports College Football 25. It has been ten years since the franchise released a game, and fans are going crazy. This week, the top 100 players in the game were released. Deion Sanders had some thoughts, and he was not happy with the ratings of his players.
Deion Sanders On EA Sports College Football 25 Player Ratings
Two Colorado Buffaloes were ranked in the top 20. Travis Hunter is a 95 overall, which makes him the sixth-ranked player on the list. Only Michigan’s Will Johnson, LSU’s Will Campbell, Oklahoma State’s Ollie Gordon III, Tennessee’s James Pearse Jr., and Ohio State’s Caleb Downs are higher. Sanders doesn’t think this is good enough.
“How can Travis not have the highest score on the game when he’s arguably the best receiver and the best defensive back in college football. So, how can you not be the number one rated guy, period? I don’t understand that either.”
It’s hard to argue with his evaluation of Hunter. Before his injury, he was taking the college football world by storm on both sides of the ball. On defense, he had three interceptions and five pass deflections. On offense, he caught 57 passes for 721 yards and five touchdowns. Hunter wasn’t the only player Deion Sanders had an issue with. He also took issue with the rating of Shedeur Sanders.
“I’m just trying to figure out how can Shedeur be tied with another person. How did that happen? … I don’t know nothing about that video game. I’m not a video game guy. I love video games but I’m a real game guy. I don’t know. Like, you guys talk about ratings and rankings, I don’t know about that stuff.”
Sticking Up For His Players
The comments made by Deion Sanders about EA Sports College Football 25 shouldn’t be surprising. Coach Prime is loyal to his players. He hypes them up any chance he gets. However, he maybe should be more complimentary of the game. EA Sports thinks very highly of the Colorado Buffaloes. The video game has them ranked in the top 25. In a recent poll, many had the team finishing in the bottom half of the Big 12. He should have more of a beef with “college football experts” rather than EA Sports.
The Colorado Buffaloes will be fun to watch this season. Whether you agree with Deion Sanders or not, Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders are fun to watch. The team has high hopes this year after a disappointing 4-8 season. Can they defy the odds and get into the College Football Playoff this season?
