Dana White Denies Sean O’Malley’s Injury Before UFC 306

Dana White Denies Sean O'Malley's

Dana White recently discussed the health of Sean O’Malley, the previous Bantamweight Champion of UFC who lost his title to Merab Dvalishvili in UFC 306. Although he is reacting to that now, some fans were concerned during the main Fight of the Night and reached out to different officials.

Despite already being known for his punching power and excellent striking, ‘Suga’ generally stands out in the cage as he has only lost two fights in his whole career. However, when he had the opportunity to face Merab Dvalishvili at Noche UFC, he couldn’t display his striking skills to the maximum.

When this news came up this made the fight fans raise their eyebrows regarding the health of the fighter. The MMA community later on found out that the former bantamweight champion was suffering from a torn cartilage that was found in the shoulder joint, before the fight. However, the injury became an issue of discussion when Dana White was asked about it, and instead of discussing the issues of the injury more, he discussed the other aspects of the fight.

Recently a press conference of White was scheduled where a reporter asked about the torn labrum, and he wanted to know if the doctors could have known about such an injury. Still, this serious fact was not liked by the CEO of UFC  as O’Malley did not disclose it to the UFC before the fight.

If these guys come in and they have something that we don’t know. I mean, how would the doctors check for a torn labrum? You know what I mean? You can’t!, Dana said

Best Event in UFC History

If we look closely at UFC 306, O’Malley wasn’t moving as fast as he used to be showing that he was in a lot of pain but he was determined to make his fight last the full 25 minutes and that is something outstanding with a torn cartilage in your arm. The fans admired him for this fact as they considered him very hard as well as strong. But it was ‘The Machine’ who stood the ground and secured the victory to become the UFC bantamweight champion.

Literally everybody reached out to me that night and said Sean O’Malley didn’t look like himself. He didn’t look explosive, he didn’t look, you know, all the same, stuff we were all saying that night, Dana added

Final Thoughts

The overall fight was amazing and interesting to watch. The Noche UFC was as interesting as it was expected to be, the hologram technology that was used to entertain the viewers was one of the best experiences for the users and the staff.

Other than that the famous moments from UFC Noche were when Merab weirdly kissed the back of Sean O’Malley and O’Malley’s fiercely punched back after the bell. What are your thoughts about the UFC 306 and Sean O’Malley’s current injury? Feel free to use the comment section to let us know.
