When the game was tied at 18 points, the Dallas Mavericks went on a 12-0 run. The first quarter ended with Luka scoring 20 of the Mavericks’ 35 points. Ironically, Luka outscored the Timberwolves alone in the first quarter, with the Timberwolves having only 19 points by the end of the quarter.

Kyrie Irving took over in the second quarter, scoring a total of 15 points. The Mavericks ended the second quarter, shooting a collective 61% from the field. In contrast, the Minnesota Timberwolves shot only 31% from the field. The second quarter ended with the Mavericks leading by 29 points. Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic outscored the entire Timberwolves team in the first half by 4 points.

The Dallas Mavericks did not let up in the second half. In the third quarter, they increased their lead to the biggest of the game at 36 points. The T-Wolves tried to come back, but the Mavericks stayed consistent in their shooting. The T-Wolves improved their shooting percentage to 42 percent from the field by the end of the game.

The fourth quarter looked very different from every other game in this series. Every previous game came down to the final minutes. However, the Mavericks played so consistently and well that even with the T-Wolves’ improved shooting, it would be hard to match the Mavericks’ efficiency in this game.
