Crystal Palace have no shortage of promising young players coming up through their ranks. Although they are not extremely high on the Premier League table this year and have a history of being toward the middle or bottom of the pack, that isn’t due to a lack of creativity, pace, technical ability, and tactical awareness on the field.
The London side often finds themselves with skillful squad members who just can’t string together a consistent set of results. Crystal Palace recently won against a top-placed Liverpool for a huge upset, but often drop points against lower-placed teams.
Despite the league’s lack of consistent form, Crystal Palace has multiple players on its depth charts who may look to go elsewhere for a hefty price tag.

Ebere Eze, that is silly 🤯

If your team is losing almost every week, chances are you want to go somewhere better. That is exactly how Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are thinking. Although they get ample playing time and numerous accolades for their pedigree on Palace, they might want to play for a higher-level team that can place higher in the PL ladder in the 2024-2025 season.
And they don’t come for cheap. Rightly so, Eze and Olise are high-quality players who should be paid for properly through the rigorous transfer system.
Crystal Palace is asking for 60 million pounds EACH for the talented players, ensuring Crystal Palace gets a good end of the deal in this lucrative trade or sale. Neither contract has an easy-to-understand release clause, which can make the sale even more complicated as the deadline draws near.
Eze and Olise Playing Stats
So far this season, Eze and Olise have really impressed players, coaches, and pundits who analyze the Premier League week in and week out.
Eze has found the back of the net eight times so far this season and added three assists to help his teammates out in tight spaces. Furthermore, last year, he had a great campaign that saw him take the field 38 times, score 10 goals, and provide four assists. His ability to stay injury-free for three out of his four seasons at Palace is another credit to his fitness and strength.
His first season at Palace in 2020-2021 was huge for Eze, where he played in 34 games, scored four times, and provided three crucial assists.
Olise, who has unfortunately struggled with injuries this season, has scored a whopping seven times in just 15 appearances. Talk about clinical. Last year, he appeared in a whopping 37 matches and provided an incredible eleven assists to his teammates. In his first season at Palace in 2021-2022, he played in 26 games, provided five assists, and scored two goals.
Eze joined Crystal Palace back in 2020 from Queens Park Rangers, a strong Scottish side, for less than 17 million pounds. Selling him for 60 million would see a profit of more than 40 million pounds for the young and talented player. Similarly, Olise joined from small English club Reading for just 8 million pounds, ensuring Palace receives a huge profit if they can manage the hefty price tag.
Will Crystal Palace sell their two key players to turn a profit? Or will the players’ desire to stay and loyalty to the club outweigh potential greed?
