On a special preview night, Usain Bolt was in the company of cricket players from the USA, Corey Anderson and Monank Patel. On the other hand, cricket legends from all over the world, including Sir Curtly Ambrose (West Indies), Shoaib Malik (Pakistan), and Liam Plunkett (England), were also present. They all came together to celebrate the upcoming T20 World Cup.
A Star-Studded Line-Up
Our marquee event also hosted the sports heroes of New York, such as John Starks (NBA/New York Knicks), Elena Delle Donne ( WNBA/USA), Bartolo Colon ( MLB/New York Yankees and Mets), Victor Cruz (NFL/New York Giants), and Ibtihaj Muhammad (Fencing/USA).
To honor this event, these members of the cast put their mark on a large cricket bat that will be at the venue for everyone to see during the eight ICC Men’s 2024 T20 World Cups hosted there between June 3 and 12.
The occasion was also treated as an inauguration of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup tournament in New York, with Sri Lanka and South Africa facing off in the first match on June 3. Bolt has said that the usability of the stadium will guarantee an exciting cricketing experience.
“I come from the Caribbean, where cricket is as popular as any other sport, and I’m delighted to be part of the first T20 World Cup that will be co-hosted between the USA and the West Indies,” he said.

“Getting the world’s largest cricket match in the USA is a great milestone and will become the stepping stone to cricket’s potential inclusion in the Olympics of LA in 2028. The new stadium would be an ideal place to watch a match, as it is very closed and the spectator feels very close to the action.

Jones stated, “Today we are having one of the most fantastic celebrations ever; the stadium is decorated in such a way that will make you feel out of this world.” “What was truly remarkable was the ability to host our little cricket event on the home turf of the United States and some popular Olympic legends in New York City. That was just the perfect place for such an encounter. “
Jones further pointed out that the personality of sporting heroes is very important while introducing the concept. “It was great to have Curtley Ambrose, Liam Plunkett, Shoaib Malik, Corey Anderson, and Monank Patel here to personally enjoy the atmosphere of the cricket stadium and to watch them love it. It gave me a sense of how our fans will feel when they come to watch the next month’s match.

A Unique Stadium for a Historic Competition
00-seat venue is the largest of its kind in international cricket, and it is believed to be a record-breaking one as it has the biggest structure of its kind in the US. The main attraction was in the center of the stadium, where all the media was, as well as the warm welcome hospitality plan that was available for VIPs.
It was also in that place that the general admission ticket holders gathered. The new elements ahead will include Cabana seats in the North Pavilion and Corner Club seats with a party area that has its own private entrance.
