Corey Graves, WWE NXT

We have an interesting report as WWE commentator Corey Graves has been pulled off the Jan. 14 episode of WWE NXT. After posting about possible dissatisfaction with his spot currently amongst the commentary table and which shows he is a part of, it seems that Graves is not going to be on the show. Is this a work or is there really some issues going on right now? Let’s take a closer look at what we know at this moment.

It appears as though WWE commentator Corey Graves is not going to be at tonight’s WWE NXT show. On Monday night, he tweeted the following about how he seemingly is dissatisfied with his current position.

“Imagine chasing your dream. Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream. Then you dedicate your life to something ‘dream adjacent’ and being pretty f**king awesome at it. And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, being told you’re not famous enough for your own job. Just in case you’ve wondered where I’ve been.”

He would go on to post on Tuesday morning that he had a lot to say on tonight’s WWE NXT show. However, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Corey Graves will not be appearing on the Jan. 14 episode of WWE NXT.  Graves was spotted on Tuesday afternoon inside Orlando International Airport and heading through TSA to leave the city altogether. His brother Sam, posted on Twitter that this is not an angle, simply posting “Not A Work”. Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan asked about Corey Graves during the week and was told by multiple sources that Graves was legitimately frustrated with the move to NXT. Many people spoken to amongst talent and production in NXT were surprised to see him commentate in NXT last week.

Graves was on television for NXT New Year’s Evil last Tuesday. With the WWE RAW booth consisting of Michael Cole and Pat McAfee while WWE Smackdown has Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett, he was relegated to the third-man at the commentary booth alongside Booker T and Vic Joseph. It will be interesting to see if anything else comes from this report and when the next time we will be seeing Corey Graves on WWE television.
