Cooper Kupp Reunion Not Ruled Out By Los Angeles Rams GM

Kupp

Los Angeles Rams General Manager Les Snead had an interesting answer when asked if Wide Receiver Cooper Kupp could return to the team in 2025. Here is what Snead had to say about the former Super Bowl LVI MVP:There is a scenario, but when you get into probabilities that would be the least likely. I don’t want to tell younotoday and then next week he’s a Ram. You see what we’re trying to do. We’re working to try to find a partner and a next chapter for Cooper and ourselves.”

Kupp posted on X on February 3 that the Rams were seeking to trade him this offseason. The star wide receiver has been bitten by the injury bug as of late. He has played in 33 of 51 possible regular season games over the last three seasons. Even when Kupp has been healthy enough to suit up, he has not looked like the player he once was. How will this situation resolve itself?

Cooper Kupp’s Suitors

The star wideout joins a loaded list of free agents/trade chips at the receiver position this offseason. Assuming he will not remain with the Los Angeles Rams, he should have a host of suitors this offseason. A few of those teams are the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Dallas Cowboys. All these teams could use another wide receiver, and Kupp could fill that void for any of these squads.

Final Thoughts

Kupp was once regarded as one of the league’s best receivers. He had one of the best seasons for a receiver in league history in 2021. Kupp won the receiving triple crown in 2021 and punctuated it with a Super Bowl MVP. He had 8 catches, 92 yards, and 2 touchdowns as the Rams bested the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in Super Bowl LVI. The wide receiver had a whopping 6 touchdown receptions over their playoff run. While Kupp’s next NFL team should not expect that sort of production, he could still be a contributor if he can remain healthy.
