Together, they thrilled the audience during their three-match series, fought in a Hell in a Cell match that saw him compete while nursing a painful injury. However, they have an intense rivalry and at the same time, he has admitted that Rollins had been instrumental in taking their bouts to a new level and in reviving his career in the WWE.

During an interview with Kenny McIntosh for Inside The Ropes Magazine, he revealed the strong impact that Rollins has made on his WWE career. He said that he remembered their first meeting with The Shield and the Rhodes brothers and said that it was apparent they were at ease expressing themselves in the squared circle. He also talked about Rollins’ fabled career as the WWE superstar who cashed in the Money in the Bank at WrestleMania 31, Cody Rhodes mentioned;
Well, look at WrestleMania 40 and Seth being the MVP of that event. He’s waved the flag for WWE for years. I don’t think I realised how important the matches were at the time. I knew the power of Seth Rollins, though. I’d seen the greatest cash-in of all time. The dude had a Hall of Fame career within five minutes of working there. He was just on fire and I had his first live event in Kalamazoo. We had done an FCW show together. The Shield versus the Rhodes brothers to get our jobs back.
A Possible Iron Man Match?
It’s a strange feeling to remember that Seth Rollins used to help Cody Rhodes win the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40. In light of all this, fans are looking forward to whether Cody Rhodes and Rollins will clash against each other in the forthcoming 60-minute Iron Man match, the scenario which would add to the already great rivalry between the two.
