Recently the battles between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have become more aggressive. And because of that, they have the bloodiest and most intense rivalry at the WWE RAW show. A few days ago Punk was fully brutalized by McIntyre when he went out to the ring to challenge “The Ring General” Gunther for the Heavyweight Title. Punk was taken out on a stretcher to the ambulance since he had serious injuries. This led to the creation of “Hell in a Cell” in the next upcoming Premier live event known as “Bad Blood”.
Drew McIntyre’s Career Progression
CM Punk was the winner of the match between him and McIntyre at Bash in Berlin. After that, Punk is expected to challenge Gunther for the Heavyweight title. But on Monday Night’s episode of WWE Raw, McIntyre discussed his problems including the rivalry, and stated that he wanted to leave Punk behind and is going after the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
But there was one man who was not ready to let it go and that was the WWE Official Adam Pearce. Pearce explained to McIntyre that he could not progress in his career without suffering the repercussions of the attack and how brutally he beat up Punk on September 2. The CCO of WWE, Triple H, replied to the situation between these rivals and approved the ‘Hell in a Cell’ match. The WWE legend wrote on his X account,
“When Bad Blood boils over, there is only one way to contain it….. Hell in a Cell.”
CM Punk And McIntyre’s 5th Brutality
To end their bitter rivalry, Pearce said CM Punk and McIntyre will face off in Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood on October 5. This will be the final time these two will be fighting against each other. They assured that it is going to be the most violent and brutal match that has ever happened between them. But if we look to the interests of Punk, he does not like matches like Hell in a Cell. It is clear from what Punk recently said on Clash in the Castle that he does not have an interest in special matches. Despite this, he is all set to be involved in one. Until now, Punk has not reacted to his comments about the match.
Whoever wins in ‘Bad Blood’ it is clear that they are going to fight Gunther in the upcoming Premier Live match and other big events. Their story is going to be extraordinary. CM Punk has a higher chance of being the winner because McIntrye broke the Bracelet to which Punk was emotionally attached.
