Cleveland Browns Tight End David Njoku Out For Week 15

Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns will be without star Tight End David Njoku for their Week 15 home game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He is coming off a solid game last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers where he caught 7 passes for 42 yards and a touchdown. Njoku has 3 touchdowns over his previous two games.

Njoku has been unable to practice all week with a hamstring injury, and after working out pregame, was ruled out for this game against the two-time defending champions. How will the Browns fare without Njoku this afternoon?

Cleveland Browns Have An Uphill Battle Today

It was always going to be difficult for the Cleveland Browns to knock off the Kansas City Chiefs, and now they will have to deal with the loss of their star tight end. Kansas City’s offense has not been at their best this season, but their defense has been one of the league’s best. They are surrendering the sixth-fewest yards per game and are seventh in points allowed. Kansas City(12-1) comes up with timely defensive stops to pull out close victories nearly every week.

With Njoku sidelined, the Cleveland Browns will need to rely on Wide Receivers Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore. The Chiefs have one of the league’s stingiest pass defenses and Quarterback Jameis Winston will need to protect the football this afternoon. If Cleveland can get an early lead it will allow Defensive End Myles Garrett to tee off on a terrible Kansas City offensive line.

Final Thoughts

Cleveland will be without one of their best players today when they host the defending champions. The Browns have enough depth on offense to compensate for the loss of Njoku, but it will take a team effort to hand the defending champions their second loss of the regular season.
