Chicago Bulls Clinch 2025 Play-In Spot

Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls are officially headed back to the postseason. On April 1, 2025, the Bulls secured a spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament after a dominant 137-118 home win against the Toronto Raptors. Fueled by a balanced offensive attack and strong ball movement, the Bulls gave their fans at the United Center plenty to cheer about. This win locks Chicago into the top ten of the Eastern Conference and gives the team a fighting chance to reach the playoffs. How far can they advance?

White, Horton-Tucker Lead the Way

Coby White continued his breakout season with a 28-point performance keeping the offense steady from start to finish. He knocked down key shots in transition and controlled the pace of the game. Talen Horton-Tucker came off the bench with energy, scoring a season-high 27 points in just under 25 minutes of play. The Bulls shot over 55% from the field and moved the ball well, finishing with 30 assists.

Nikola Vučević also played a key role, notching another double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. His presence in the paint helped Chicago control the boards and limit Toronto’s second-chance opportunities.

Play-In Picture Comes Into Focus

With the win, the Bulls improved to 34-42 and currently sit in 10th place in the East. They trail the ninth-place Miami Heat by just half a game. With six games remaining in the regular season, Chicago still has a chance to improve its position and potentially host a Play-In game. Every win down the stretch matters, and the team seems to be clicking at just the right time.

Head Coach Billy Donovan praised his squad’s effort and focus, emphasizing the importance of peaking late in the season. “We’ve battled all year,” he said postgame. “Now we’ve earned the opportunity to keep playing with something on the line.”

What’s Next For the Chicago Bulls

The Bulls are scheduled to face Miami on April 9 in a critical game that could decide seeding and home-court advantage in the Play-In Tournament. With players like White, Horton-Tucker, and Vučević stepping up, Chicago is quietly building momentum. While the path to the playoffs won’t be easy, the Bulls are in position. That’s all they can ask for in April.
