Final Thoughts
The Chicago Bears couldn’t be heading into their bye week on better terms with three consecutive victories after a rough start to the season. The Bears’ offense looks to be making strides week in and week out, and the defense, with great depth, keeps the pressure on opposing offenses even when they are down several starters. Chicago Bears CB Jaylon Johnson shut down Jaguars’ rookie star WR Brian Thomas Jr., and he is earning more credit as a bona fide shutdown corner. The defense finished with four sacks, one INT, and one forced fumble.
Williams threw for 226 yards with one INT but had four touchdown passes. Williams also added 56 yards rushing to round out a fantastic win. RB D’Andre Swift had another solid performance rushing and receiving with 119 all-purpose yards. TE Cole Kmet led all Bears pass catchers with 70 yards receiving, and Keenan Allen was second with 41 receiving yards, with both players having five receptions. The Chicago Bears return to action in week 8, visiting the Washington Commanders.
