Cole Palmer’s season has seen him win numerous personal awards, including the Castrol Game Changer of the Season award, which is his latest personal accolade. This further solidifies his status as the Premier League’s foremost rising star.
Chelsea’s second-leg match against Manchester United was a thrilling encounter that will go down as one of the greatest comebacks in Premier League history. Palmer was like a conductor of a major orchestra, orchestrating a comeback with two late goals.
After leading 2-0 early in the game, Manchester United equalized and scored again to take the lead. Chelsea trailed 3-2 till the 10th minute of added time. This was when Cole Palmer scored on a penalty to level the score. 81 seconds later, he stepped up again to secure victory for Chelsea with a shot that deflected into the net for both his hat-trick and Chelsea’s 4th goal.

Palmer’s Record-Breaking Season for Chelsea
Cole Palmer’s debut season for Chelsea will be in the record books for his string of fascinating achievements. After deft performances in December, Palmer got nominated for both the Premier League Player and Goal of the Month awards.
When he scored the hat-trick against Manchester United, he became the Premier League’s 200th player to achieve that milestone. Not stopping there, his four-goal spectacle against Everton made him the first Chelsea player in history, legends like Drogba and Lampard included, to bang in two hat-tricks in one season.
Palmer has also joined the elite group in Premier League history that has contributed to 30+ goals in a single season. His 22 goals and 11 assists made him the Premier League player with the most goal contributions this season.
He made history again in April by winning both the Player and Goal of the Month awards in the same month, becoming the first Chelsea player in Premier League history and the fifth Premier League player overall to do so.
Palmer’s Season Was Full of Personal Accolades
Cole Palmer’s 2023-24 campaign didn’t go unnoticed. He received both club and national recognition for his extraordinary impact on the pitch.
Palmer won the Men’s Young Player of the Year award at the London Football Awards in February, and in April, he won both the Player of the Season and Player’s Player of the Season at the Chelsea End of Season award ceremony.
