Pedro Neto is all set to head towards the capital city of England. He has agreed to join Chelsea this morning and Fabrizio Romano like every time has tweeted his famous quote saying ‘Here we go’ for Pedro Neto. The agreement has reached the final stages and the deal has been sealed.
The player’s agent Jorge Mendes is in London having the final talks and formalities being completed. The medical will be scheduled very soon once everything is official. The salary was a crucial aspect to be discussed but now it is believed that everything is in the right place. The yellow of Wolverhampton Wanderers will soon be replaced by the blue of Chelsea as things stand currently. Chelsea have signed Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid, the addition of Pedro Neto in the squad can make it a deadly duo if they combine up top.
Pedro Neto’s Signing From Chelsea Perspective

Neto’s Wolves contract runs until the summer of 2027 after he signed a new five-year deal in March 2022. The 24-year-old winger made 20 appearances for Wolves in the previous season of the Premier League. He was injured in two phases of the season with a hamstring problem. He regained his courage and got back to the level of his fitness to represent his nation (Portugal) in the Euros 2024.
In the previous season, Neto netted just two goals and provided nine assists across all competitions. Neto appeared for a total of 135 matches in the Wolves side. As said, his career has been filled up with a lot of injuries which keep him out for a long time. Neto has not played more than 25 games in a season since the 2020-21 campaign.
Pedro Neto brings a lot of quality to the Chelsea team. If he restores his form, he can help Chelsea throughout the whole season. He is fast with the ball and loves to cut inside from the left wing into the box to have a go. His great shooting abilities help him find the target easily. He possesses a great ability to deliver ball delivery into the box as well.
Brief on the Finances
Pedro Neto is expected to make a move to Chelsea which will reportedly cost them a total of 63 million euros (including the four million euros bonuses) and possible future add-ons. This is understandably a very high price tag considering that Neto is an injury-prone player. But still other factors like his age just being 24, somehow justify the price.
Other elite clubs that are often referred to as the ‘Premier League Big-Six’ were interested in signing Pedro Neto. Chelsea should consider themselves very lucky if they have a player with his qualities on the team. A lot of excitement awaits and hopefully, he unites well with Enzo Maresca.
