Chelsea are looking to improve their goal-scoring abilities after a dismal last season in the Premier League that saw them finish outside of the top three. For a club with the funds and the coaching prowess of Chelsea FC, anything outside of a Europa finish is a poor showing from the Blues. That is why the new manager wants to improve his squad list by bringing in a talented and speedy winger from the Bundesliga.
Borussia Dortmund could be losing one of their best attackers if Chelsea has their way with this new signing. Not only could Dortmund lose Sancho to Juventus in Serie A, but they could also potentially see Adeyemi go to England if things go Chelsea’s way with the new manager looking to improve the depth of his squad chart.
Chelsea Could Sign Adeyemi from Dortmund
Karim Adeyemi is one of the Blues’ top prospects during this summer transfer window to see if he can net more goals in the Premier League this season. Last year, Chelsea FC finished out the year in sixth place, earning only 63 points on the season in 38 games. They finished just three points behind Tottenham and five points behind Aston Villa, meaning they were outside of contention for the Champions League or Europa League this year.
They managed to score just 77 goals and suffered 63 goals against, which is one of the highest among the teams in the top ten in the standings. The lack of goals scored, and the number of goals against, means that Chelsea needs to get better at both finding the back of the net AND getting clean sheets against easy teams.
Adeyemi can help Chelsea score more goals this season by adding an injection of pace, 1v1 dribbling skills, and energy during intense matches. In 35 games last season for his club team, the young star was able to score five goals and provide two assists to his teammates, which are great stats for a player at such a young age.
Another reason why Chelsea might be looking to sign this player is due to his wonder goal against their own team in the Champions League game last year. Adeyemi scored a fantastic solo effort against Chelsa’s back line that had the coaches in aw — it is no wonder they want to sign him this season.

Adeyemi is a German professional soccer player who currently plays for Dortmund in the Bundesliga. At just 22 years old he has already made a name for himself as one of the best footballers in the domestic league, dribbling around defenders with ease and helping his teammates score in stalemate games.
He joined Borussia Dortmund back in 2022 and has since gone on to make a whopping 45 appearances of the club and scored nine goals in the process. Before he joined Dortmund, he made 68 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg, starting at the age of just 16 years old, and scored 27 goals for the club. He then went on to Liefering for a loan spell from Salzburg, where he had a fantastic two seasons and scored 15 goals in 35 games.
Now, he is looking to join the Premier League and improve his game even more. Chelsea could be the best bet for his talent and playing style.
