Impressive, right? Well, it’s even more impressive that he is younger than 15 years old. Yes, you read that right. Sullivan was subbed into the match on Wednesday night for his home team with five minutes remaining in the game vs. New England. Usually, coming into a game that late wouldn’t make such a big deal, but since he broke a long-standing record, the crowd rose to their feet. He broke the record for the youngest MLS debutant that was held by Freddy Adu, the previous star boy who never rose to his full potential, by less than 2 weeks.

Hopefully, Sulivan has a different outcome than Freddy Adu. Based on the way he played so far, and the impact he had in the game, it seems as though he has his head on his shoulders and can progress to an elite level in soccer

Just two months ago, Sullivan and his agent signed a record deal with the Philadelphia Union, making him the youngest player in Philly’s history to be included on the senior roster. He was also the fifth-youngest player to sign a contract with the senior team in the history of the professional men’s league in the United States.
