Reports about Conor McGregor
Before the challenge of McGregor goes any further Canelo Alvarez is having a big fight coming up. The super middleweight champion will be seeking to retain his WBA, WBC, and WBO titles against the undefeated Edgar Berlanga this Saturday. Nonetheless, the press is already interested in the next matchup of this fighter. The reporters asked a very interesting question from Alvarez regarding Conor McGregor. And that is if he’d be interested in fighting UFC star Conor McGregor, which left Alvarez chuckling. It is difficult for every MMA fighter to win or even compete in MMA and that’s the reason Alvarez is so confident in fighting McGregor very soon.
Canelo Alvarez smiled and said this to show his dominance in the possible fight against Conor McGregor. “I know, and then we show boxing is better. Easy, easy, way easy money.”
Conor McGregor’s Current Situation
McGregor has become famous for dodging fights, looking out for easy fights with profits in it. According to the current situation of McGregor, he will be looking forward to retirement because of not being in the gym and partying most of the time. For most fighters, the biggest motivation is earning money, and if that factor goes out from the story, it becomes difficult for the fighters to stay motivated.
The same case is for Conor McGregor, as in his three years of break, he has built multi-million dollar businesses which is more than enough for the rest of his life. So the possibility of McGregor going towards boxing is very low. But Alvarez was still asked about Conor McGregor, in how much time you can knock out McGregor. The answer from the famous boxer was simple and clear. He said that he can knock out Conor McGregor whenever he wants, so that’s not a problem.
Canelo Alvarez said this clearly. “At the time I want. One round, two rounds, three rounds, whatever I want.”
Final Thoughts
Canelo Alvarez will be looking forward to competing with other champions in boxing or possibly UFC or MMA. As there are very less chances from McGregor and that will be further clear in 2025. If Conor McGregor is looking for a great way to end his career in UFC then he should be preparing for Michael Chandler early in 2025, after which we will find out whether he wants to remain focusing on his businesses or another sport.
