Bruno Fernandes to Stay a Red Devil Until 2027

bruno fernandes

Bruno Fernandes is set to stay at Manchester United until June 2027. The Portuguese midfielder had last signed the contract in 2022. The contract assured his presence at the club till 2026. Now, Bruno Fernandes has signed another deal that extends his stay in England until June 2027. This deal also has a clause option that allows him to extend the contract until 2028, for one more year.

Bruno Fernandes has options from elite clubs outside England. The clubs are offering him huge chunks of salary and are keen to link up with him, but Manchester United is being treated like a home for Bruno Fernandes, which is the reason that he has decided to stay even further.

The contract extension has been in great talks since morning. The final deal is yet to be placed on the table, but it is being heavily reported by top journalists like Fabrizio Romano, the Sun, and many others that Bruno Fernandes’ official announcement will be out anytime soon.

Bruno Fernandes Under Erik Ten Hag’s Project

Bruno Fernandes has justified his role in the Manchester United squad since he joined them back in the 2020 transfer window. He was a great talent in Sporting CP (Portugal) made the Red Devils bring him to Old Trafford. Bruno has made 233 appearances since he joined, in which he has netted 79 goals and also provided 66 assists in this tenure.

Bruno Fernandes has great abilities that are perfect for a player playing at the top Premier League level. He is a beast when it comes to passing, be it ball distribution or short passes. He also has a decent pace and can take on defenders easily. The main advantage of having a player like Bruno Fernandes in the squad is his presence in the penalty area of the opponent and also in the own half when he drops deep.

Under the new Erik Ten Hag project this year, Bruno Fernandes is considered to be the player with the utmost crucial role. He is the team captain so a lot needs to be done on and also off the pitch. Key signings like Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt are all bound to take place very soon. Leny Yoro has already signed for the club making a solid defensive line.

Bruno Fernandes’ Wages

The extension that is about to take place will make Bruno Fernandes the highest-earning player in the United squad. According to the Sun, this new deal will make Bruno Fernandes the number one on the list of salaries of players, who previously earned 220,000 pounds per week.

Not only this but the other add-ons and bonuses will make the 29-year-old midfielder the highest price tag receiver in the United squad. Some think that the price justifies and is fair, while a few think that he is overrated and the price isn’t worth it. To find this all out, we’ll need to wait for a few days until the season kicks off.
