Brock Lesnar WWE Future Dire for These 3 Sad Reasons

Brock Lesnar Done

For those who dig Brock Lesnar, I take no pleasure in revealing the truth in the news, but it seems pretty clear as day judging by the developments of the Janel Grant lawsuit. Since January, it was of course enough to completely push out Vince McMahon for obvious reasons since this was no doubt a sex scandal for the ages.

But is this affecting Brock Lesnar even more? We already know the current allegations and further actions taken: reports of McMahon sending the Beast rather explicit photos of the former employee Janel Grant, and WWE subsequently removing said wrestler from the Royal Rumble and his playable character of the WWE 2K24 video game as a result of the lawsuit.

Additionally, Brock’s matches against Gunther at Wrestlemania 40 and against Dominik Mysterio at Elimination Chamber had been scrapped. Yet Lesnar remains under a WWE contract.

But you’re telling me it’s worse? How could it possibly be any worse for Brock Lesnar?

#1: It Was Recently Announced That the Lawsuit’s Been Postponed Per the DOJ’s Request

You know what this means? We won’t see this lawsuit resolved for a very long time! With the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) now getting involved in requesting a postponement, pending a thorough investigation, Lesnar remains in a very cloudy, indefinite limbo for the time being.

That’s sad as this lawsuit has gone from being about Vince and John Laurenaitis being naughty to an entire company facing scrutiny, including the scrutiny of the wrestlers we all enjoy watching.

Since this investigation has now fallen into the hands of the DOJ, there’s no telling when WWE will be resolved of any of it. Since Brock Lesnar is a very relevant talking point, WWE’s legal team can’t justify clearing Lesnar to wrestle in future events for some time until the investigation can be resolved.

#2: This Spells Double Trouble Since WWE and UFC Are Now Owned by the Same Company

Hence we may not see Brock Lesnar fight in the octagon for quite a while — even if he were so inclined to step in that ring. Sad to say, but the Beast has been caged or chained up until the legal monsters can fight it out in a courtroom.

Legal-wise, this makes a lot of sense, though. WWE wants to avoid any kind of publicity that could further tarnish the good name of arguably the leading brand of professional wrestling and sports entertainment. So allowing Brock Lesnar to fight under UFC wouldn’t be advisable — as much as Dana White would love to have him back.

#3: Triple H’s “New Era” Spells Bad News for Brock Lesnar, Too

https://gty.im/2147936969

How so? Well, it’s simple. You noticed the shift in the latest programming — in particular how Wrestlemania 40 was handled. Branding did go into the hands of Paul “Triple H” Levesque in full force, trying to clean away the smear that was the former chairman, Vinnie Mac. But you know what this also means?

A complete overhaul and essential rewrite of anything related to Vince McMahon — either in the squared circle or backstage. After all, the talk of even Jessie “The Body” Ventura returning for a Legends contract makes it clear that we’re going for a clean slate here.

That means, unfortunately, the real possibility TKO CEO Ari Emanuel — the head honcho of the company owning both WWE and UFC — may make that clean slate a reality, insisting every WWE worker associated with McMahon be sunsetted, downplayed, or just plain annihilated from the situation in pure, legalistic fashion.

That includes Brock Lesnar for obvious reasons.

You Know What That Means? Even If This Lawsuit Resolves….

It may not matter if it does as Brock Lesnar will be good and done with professional wrestling. Period.

Don’t lynch me. I’m just the messenger. Bad news must be reported. And, in all honesty, I’d rather be prepared for the worst than hope for the best when it comes to legal battles like this.

Let me know in the comments below, though! What do you think? Will we ever get to see Brock Lesnar again in the WWE? (Or UFC?) The hope is we will. The reality is we won’t — not for quite a while, if not ever again.
