Brentford’s brilliance in the field of dominating their rival club Man United fell short of a few chances. However, the shots by Brentford’s attackers graced the posts and bars. Man United was lucky enough to even kept alive the whole game. Therefore the score-line was 1-1, even after the world-class play by Brentford’s attack the 31 shots were drilled against Man United’s terrible midfield and defense.
The Timeline
Man United started with the kickoff, as they lost the ball of the early possession to Brentford’s defense. After a few minutes, Man United with an attacking chance as Fernandes had the ball. However, he passed to Rashford and he passed back to Fernandes who laid a shot but missed. Meanwhile, after a few swift possessions by both teams, Brentford shot a corner but deflected by Lindelof.
In the 23rd minute, Ivan Toney got an opening chance as he was against the goalkeeper 1 vs 1 but he hit the far post. A few moments later, Lindelof again to the rescue.
After Half Time
The second half starts as Brentford with the kickoff. Hojlund with a chance to score an opening goal but was denied by the goalkeeper. In the 54th minute, Onana makes a superb effort to deny a shot. A few moments later in the 58th minute, Wissa got a chance to score to get a big lead but missed his volley by a fraction. In 71 minutes Antony recreates his trademark by curling the ball in the wide post but misses.
A few seconds later Toney scored a brilliant goal with a low cross out and was found offside. In the 78th minute, Mbeuno and Toney got a curling ball from an indirect freekick to redeem a goal but Mbeuno hit the crossbar. In the ending moments of the match Mason Mount hits an excellent goal as Casemiro assists Mount and he never misses the shot.
All hopes were lost for the home side as the match almost came to an end that’s where in the 98th minute Ivan Toney squeezed the ball from an indirect freekick. Therefore, K.Ajer smashes the ball through Man United’s defense and scores a goal. The ending was climaxed as Brentford drew with Man United till their last breath.

How Brentford could’ve humiliated Man United?
Out of 31 shots Brentford only scored one goal, which was very unexpectedly less from the home side. Toney had a lot of chances to score but he missed due to lack of clarity and luck. He also could’ve passed to his teammates when they had an open chance but he went all to himself. There were although 3 shots to the post which determines how lucky Man United was.
