Liverpool has devised several means of adaptation since the sale of Sadio Mane. The immediate season of his sale saw them fall hard in the league. They finished 5th and managed Europa League qualification.
Liverpool had bought Darwin Nunez to offer cover to the space Mane left. However, the Uruguayan struggled to fill in the big shoes left by the Senegalese star. New tactical changes had to be made to help the adaptation process for the space left.
Moreover, it seems the club is still on the lookout for Mane’s replacement. Additionally, their Egyptian star Mohammed Salah seems to be past his prime. And there have been speculations he might leave in summer. This leaves the club with the headache of finding two player qualities.
However, they might have found the two qualities in the 24-year-old Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo

During Mane’s time at Southampton, similar stats were noted to that of Mbeumo. Sadio Mane had also averaged 15 goals and assists in his two seasons at Southampton. He had 10 goals and 3 assists in his first season there.
The following season he had 11 goals and six assists. His next season at Liverpool saw a drastic change in his output. The same might be expected if Mbeumo makes a move to the Merseyside.
The patterns in Mane and Mbeumo’s goals and assists are fairly similar. Notably, Brentford’s team quality is extremely low compared to Liverpool’s. This was the same story when Mane was at Southampton. This implies that such talented players tend to have more to show at bigger clubs.
