The Sacramento Kings will be without a player who is important for them and their playoffs. Although this team has two of the more unique players, being without a possible peer shooter can be difficult, especially if either one of those aforementioned players can’t get it going. However, others are going to be forced to step up. Regardless, being without one of the hotter three-point shooters on any given night is a difficult challenge to overcome. But unfortunately, the latest news suggests that we won’t be seeing him anytime soon.
How do you see this Kings team fairing without one of their more important role players?
Sacramento Kings Moving Forward Without Perimeter Assitance
Kevin Huerter is known as a three-point specialist. He can stretch the floor and go off for big-scoring nights. But according to a Sacramento Kings statement, he will not be available anytime soon. Herder dislocated his shoulder and has a labral tear. At this time, it’s not known when he could return or resume basketball activities, but fans of the Kings should not expect to see him anytime soon.
Furthermore, the exact path to how he will attack his recovery is unknown at this time. Therefore, he is listed only as out, definitely at this moment. But it remains to be seen if a miracle or a scientific pathway exists for him to see the court sooner than expected. But as stated, the likelihood of him seeing this season is unlikely at best at this moment.
Sacramento Kings Season So Far
Huerter was having a nice season. In 24.4 minutes per game, he averaged 10.2 points. However, as stated, his scoring sprees were often enough that he warranted big-time minutes throughout the season. Furthermore, teams had to respect his ability to shoot. Therefore, he spaced the floor nicely and was a great help for his teammates, like Domantas Sabonis and De’Aarron Fox.
Although fewer than hoped for, he could be good for 20 points on any given night. Again, his absence will be noticed, but teammate Keon Ellis is ready to fill in his role and see his minutes increase as a result of this for the Sacramento Kings.
