Breaking News: Liam Livingstone Withdraws from IPL 2024 Due to Knee Injury

 Liam Livingstone

The departure of Liam Livingstone due to injury in the IPL makes sense now that the Punjab Kings have officially been kicked out of playoff contention. They were in danger of getting pushed down the table when they only managed to win four out of twelve matches; the chance of making a playoff was very low.

Nonetheless, the franchise will still have a couple of league games to play at the end of the season in order to save some face for the rest of the season.

There was more bad news for Punjab Kings. One of England‘s dynamic and talented players, Liam Livingstone, declared his withdrawal from the IPL. In Liam Livingstone’s words, it has been known that he was returning home to treat the knee injury, which needs to heal before the forthcoming T20 World Cup.

The fact that he has withdrawn from the tournament is evidence that he has ended his further matches with PBKS in IPL 2024. The Punjab Kings will have to continue their season without him for the rest of the fixtures.

Even though he was a major player for Punjab in the twelve-match season, Liam was unable to put up a good game. He could manage to score roughly 111 runs at an average of over 22.
