All-Pro wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and the San Francisco 49ers have finally agreed to a contract extension per NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafalo. Aiyuk’s extension is four years and $120, with $76 million guaranteed.
This ends nearly a full offseason standoff between the two sides. Aiyuk was previously holding out of training camp and was in a flurry of trade rumors. With the contract negotiations now behind them, Aiyuk and the 49ers can begin to get ready for their opening game against the Jets next Monday night. At long last, the Brandon Aiyuk saga is over.

In the end, Brandon Aiyuk got his extension and the 49ers have brought back one of their top weapons. 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has to be ecstatic by the news as one of his favorite targets from a season ago is back on the team. Aiyuk racked up 1,342 yards and 7 touchdowns last year for San Francisco. He earned Second-team All-Pro honors.
Aiyuk is one of the key pieces of the 49ers offense, and it would have been a major loss if he were to go someplace else. With other star wideouts such as Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and CeeDee Lamb getting big contracts this offseason, Aiyuk was seeking his big payday. With his four-year and $120 extension, he is currently the 6th highest-paid receiver in football for next season.

Ever since the 49ers lost Super Bowl 58 to the Chiefs in February, the biggest topic of conversation in the building has revolved around wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. The 26-year-old Aiyuk made it clear he wanted to stay with the 49ers, but only if he was getting paid what he felt he deserved.
