It has not been an easy season for the Toronto Raptors, but a win on Monday night will be sure lift to their spirits and satisfy their appetites. In December, Raptors Head Coach Darko Rajakovi? pledged a self-funded all-expense paid team dinner if the Raptors were able to win three straight games. Toronto’s 130-122 road win against the Indiana Pacers on Monday got them their dinner.
The Raptors had multiple two-game winning streaks since Rajakovi?’s pledge, but the third win proved to be an elusive one for the young team.

The Toronto Raptors are a rebuilding team that shifted the focus toward the future at this year’s NBA Trade Deadline. The team sent Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers for three first-round picks. They also acquired RJ Barrett in a trade with the New York Knicks at the deadline. Toronto has played better as of late and is now only four games out of the NBA Play-In Tournament.
The young core of Scottie Barnes, Barrett, and Immanuel Quickley is one the team hopes is a winning combination for years to come. Barnes was named an NBA All-Star for the first time this season. He is also top 30 in both rebounds and assists per game.
Toronto Raptors Remaining Season Outlook
The Toronto Raptors have been hampered this season by poor three-point shooting. Also, they are bottom 10 in made threes per game and are one of the worst free-throw-shooting teams in the association. However, they have played better as of late. Additionally, they threaten teams night in and night out. Although they won’t win in the post-season, they believe they are building for the future.
The team will need to continue their better play as they enter a brutal stretch of their schedule. The Raptors host the Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors before paying a visit to the Phoenix Suns and defending champion Denver Nuggets.
Toronto Raptors have a goal over the season’s final 24 games of the regular season to continue building continuity amongst their young core. A second straight trip to the Play-In Tournament would be a bonus for the team.
