Bloodline Saga Seems Perfect for Netflix Debut

There is no doubt that WWE has gone the route of “cinematic” storytelling and the Bloodline is front and center. After the return of the Original Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, on the “Premiere” episode of Smackdown, it’s clear he is coming for Solo Sikoa. This drama has the WWE Universe thinking they’re watching a series like “The Wire” or “Sopranos.” The storyline within the Bloodline has endless possibilities, along with the potential to be the best story told since Undertaker and Kane.

Where The Bloodline Story Is Headed Now

After the “Premiere” episode of Smackdown on USA, the WWE Universe found out that the “Original Tribal Chief,” Roman Reigns, will be teaming up with long-time rival Cody Rhodes to take on the new “Tribal Chief,” Solo Sikoa, and Jacob Fatu. This will most likely happen at the “Bad Blood” Premium Live Event on October 5.

Rhodes told Nick Aldis on Smackdown he was done with the Bloodline and it was no longer his problem. The show ended with Cody making the save for Roman and signing the contract making him Reignss partner. A big “Easter Egg” that was mentioned: Nick Aldis said Sikoa and Fatu signed the contract without reading it. That makes one think there will be some kind of stipulation for this match at “Bad Blood” that the Universe is not aware of yet.

“Bad Blood” could be extremely interesting related to how it could all play out. Reigns and Rhodes could be victorious, and they could show mutual respect for one another after all the battles they had with and against each other. What could even be more interesting is if Roman Reigns decided to turn on Cody after the match, since the “OTC” still has his eyes on the gold. Rhodes could also agree to give Reigns a title shot after a victory, again showing respect to the former champ. Cody is the “shaking hands and kissing babies” babyface that WWE hasn’t had since John Cena.

But…. what if Reigns and Cody lose? There’s a scenario where Solo could pin either the “Original Tribal Chief” or the champion. Would he then be the new “Tribal Chief” like he claims he already is? Or could he be in line for another title shot?

Jacob Fatu is a star in the making, if hes the one who gets the pin, would he be considered the new “Head of The Table” or would he get a shot at Cody? Would Fatu claim he did it for his “Tribal Chief” Solo and give all the praise to him? There are so many questions and scenarios that could come out of the “Bad Blood” PLE. Or could we see The Rock return and side with Solo, since Roman decided to team with Cody Rhodes? “Mama” Rhodes may not like what she sees!

Bloodline Into War Games and Beyond

Survivor Series has become the home of War Games the past couple of years. This year will be no different, except the thought is that the WWE Universe will be getting a Bloodline Civil War. The teams will most likely be Solo Sikoa and Bloodline 2.0 versus Roman Reigns and an assembled team of his family. Fans are speculating about the original Bloodline, but Roman would definitely need to do some recruiting. Jimmy, Jey, and possibly Sami would need to be able to trust Roman once again and be willing to help out their former “Tribal Chief.”

Why the Bloodline Story is Perfect for Netflix

WWE has finally followed in the footsteps of the NFL and will have Monday Night Raw exclusively streaming on Netflix. There will be no TV ratings which WWE fans are excited about. If it wasn’t the end of the PG era already, this should be the stake through the heart.

There are so many scenarios that could happen from now until January when Raw debuts on Netflix. Here would be the perfect story to start the “Netflix Era.” Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes take care of business at “Bad Blood” against Sikoa and Fatu. At the end of the match Roman spears Cody just to ensure Cody knows Reigns will be coming back for his title.

We fast forward to War Games. Again Team Roman handles Bloodline 2.0 in a hellacious match. In both these matches, Roman never pins Solo. Solo continues to wear the ula fala. Sikoa then challenges Reigns to a Bloodline Rules match for the PLE in December, right before Raw goes to Netflix.

Solo agrees if he loses, he will acknowledge Roman Reigns as the “Tribal Chief.” After a hard-fought battle with plenty of Samoan interference, Roman comes out victorious. WWE advertises that the acknowledgment will happen live on the first episode of the unrated Raw.

The closing segment of Raw has the entire Bloodline 2.0 in the ring with the “OTC.” As Solo puts the ula fala around the neck of Roman Reigns, he pulls Roman in close. Solo then proceeds to do what the entire WWE Universe wants and says “F— You” to one of the biggest pops in wrestling history. The Bloodline 2.0 then takes out Roman Reigns, and Solo remains their “Tribal Chief.”

Final Thoughts

This scenario could build the story for another six months leading right up to Wrestlemania. It would also give the edge to Raw on Netflix as being unrated and unpredictable. The WWE Universe should be extremely excited for the move to the streaming service. This could be Attitude Era 2.0 which had the highest ratings in professional wrestling history.

Like Terrell Owens used to say, “Get your popcorn ready!” This is about to be a movie in the making!
