Sadly, leg spinner Ghulam Fatima and batsman Bismah Maroof of Pakistan sustained minor injuries. On Friday, April 5, they had to face a car accident.
Maroof and Fatima received emergency medical attention. The next day, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a statement. Their injuries were slight. However, they required the highest care from the board’s medical staff.
According to a PCB statement issued on Saturday, “Both players received immediate first aid and are currently under the care of the PCB medical team, despite sustaining minor injuries.”
The statement further stated, “The two players underwent precautionary CT scans, which came out clear.”
In preparation for their forthcoming home series against West Indies Women, both Bismah Maroof and Fatima are part of a probable training camp.

The specifics state that while doing a U-turn, Bismah Maroof, Ghulam Fatima, and a local footballer were on their way to get a cup of tea when their automobile struck a pavement.
Both Bismah Maroof and Fatima participated in the previous ODI series for Pakistan. In December, that series was held in New Zealand. Bisma scored 89 runs in three innings, including a career-high 68, in the third game of the series. With six wickets, Fatima led both teams in wicket-taking.
As far as we know, the home series preparations against the West Indies Women are going full steam ahead. Thus, both athletes are likely a part of a training camp.

Remember that on April 14, West Indies is supposed to arrive in Karachi. One source indicates that the ODI series will begin on April 26 at the same location.
Moreover, the first ball of the Twenty20 Internationals will be delivered at 730 pm PKT. All the consecutive ODIs are scheduled to start at 330 pm PKT. Bismah Maroof and others will be eager to showcase their skills.
