Buffalo Bills List 5 Players As Inactive For MNF

The Buffalo Bills named their inactive players for tonight's game.

The Buffalo Bills have listed five players as inactive for tonight’s Monday Night Football game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The following players will be unavailable for tonight’s game:

Inactive: CB Taron Johnson

Inactive CB Taron Johnson injured his forearm in the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals. While being placed on injured reserve with a designation for return was a possibility, the Bills believe that Johnson may return within the next two weeks. This would be an incredible boost to Buffalo’s secondary.

LB Terrel Bernard

The Buffalo Bills will be without their starting middle linebacker for the second straight game as Terrel Bernard will miss tonight’s game with a pectoral strain. The Bills are expecting to have him back in the next two to three weeks. In the meantime, the franchise is relying on LB Baylon Spector to take over the defense. Spector had ten tackles in last week’s win against the Miami Dolphins.

Inactive: S Mike Edwards

The Bills have made two-time Super Bowl champion S Mike Edwards unavailable for tonight. The former Chiefs and Bucs safety has missed ample amounts of the offseason working his way back from various injuries. While he is not currently hurt, the Bills decided to make him a healthy scratch. The team will rely on Taylor Rapp, Damar Hamlin, and rookie Cole Bishop.

Inactive: LB Edefuan Ulofoshio

LB Edeuan Ulofoshio has struggled to stay healthy throughout his rookie season with the Buffalo Bills. While he was not expected to be a starter, the team was planning on utilizing him as a special teams player. The team will have to wait another week before seeing what the linebacker can do.

T Ryan Van Demark

Inactive OT Ryan Van Demark was supposed to be Buffalo’s swing tackle this season if either offensive lineman Dion Dawkins or Spencer Brown went down with an injury. Both players have been durable and are having outstanding seasons. The franchise will rely on rookie OT Tylan Grable to be the team’s swing tackle. Grable had an excellent showing in the preseason. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of the University of Central Florida.

Final Thoughts

The Jacksonville and Buffalo Bills Monday night football game will be a tremendous reunion for former Buffalo Bills. Current Jaguars and former 2023 Bills WR Gabe Davis and C Mitch Morse will return to Highmark Stadium for the first time rocking black and gold. The Bills enter tonight’s Monday Night Football game a little banged up on defense with inactives Bernard and Johnson.

While this could be a trap game going up against an 0-2 Jags team that has lost the last seven games QB Trevor Lawrence has played, the Bills need to start hot to beat the Jaguars. Side note: QB Josh Allen is 0-2 in his last two Monday night football games and has thrown seven interceptions. He is 7-0 on MNF in his career.
