To the surprise of many, Ben Wells, a top cricketer in the cricketing establishment, declared earlier this week, after a brief period of health problems, that his professional cricket career has come to a standstill. Last fortnight, he was diagnosed with the incurable disease of abnormal heart rhythm (arrhythmia), which warned him against the dangers of extreme workout sessions.
As a result, it is the present diagnosis that made me resign from sports right away, and it is everything that three months after the implantation of the defibrillator might follow too.
Reasons for the Unforgettable Trip
Whereas, through his life as a cricketer, Ben Wells stated that the game had given him incomparable experiences and a host of opportunities he could not have achieved without. His most important lifetime events have been intertwined with the game, from priceless friendships to breathtaking destinations in cricket.
During the narration of his journey, he draws brief features of the hours he spent improving his skills, from the casual match field in the garden with his brother to the games held in the symbolic Bath Cricket Club.
Ben Wells’ tour of duty as a cricketer has been a meshed affair with glory and dread. However, despite the ordinary disappointment of not signing for the professional club at eighteen, he soared to record heights thereafter, being appointed as a professional at Gloucestershire at the age of 21.
His career was an ongoing process as he demonstrated considerable resilience throughout the years, overcoming major injuries along with times of splendor. Such as playing his first-ever professional century despite tearing his hamstring as he hit his final run.

Ben Wells: Gratitude to Supporters
On the rough roadways, Allen found plenty of help from friends and organizations, which had not lost the basic human qualities of support and assistance. From just playing in the swimming pool of Bath Cricket Club to receiving support from the staff at Monkton Comb, each place played a key role in his cricket career.
On the other hand, he expresses his utmost gratitude to the Somerset County Cricket Club, the University of Exeter, the Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, and the countless coaches, teammates, and fans who believed in him.

A Community of Support
The current situation has helped him to cope with the pressure associated with his recent diagnosis, thanks to the support of his friends, family, and the cricket community at large. They have been with me every step of the way, not just through advice but also assistance and so much patience to lighten the load.
Although his cricketing career had ended prematurely, the realization of what he had achieved within such a short period continues to stir a strong sense of pride amongst him. He bequeaths an image that goes beyond his career accomplishments, just as he showcases his strength and grace in the face of the adversities he encounters.
Interestingly, sportsman Ben Wells’ case is the one to showcase the real extent of the powers that sport has in uplifting the spirit of a man. He possesses no fear and thereby stands like a pillar in front of us all, dedicating himself to the blessings of life that have been bestowed upon him.
