But the table turned against Chelsea in the second semi-final second legs.

About 72 minutes into the match Bonmati charged into the box and found herself in between Jess Carter and Amy Lawrence. Carter clipped the midfielder who went down, and the referee had no hesitation in pointing to the spot Barcelona earned a penalty in the Women’s Champions League match against Chelsea.

Fridolina Rolfo stepped up and did the honors to take the penalty and confidently converted it, giving the home team the lead. This incident was a crucial moment in the match, as Rolfo’s goal helped Barcelona secure a 2-0 victory over Chelsea in the second leg of the semi-final.

Barca is in the final for the fourth time in a row and wants to win it for the third time. Surely they are looking forward to maintaining their winning momentum in the seasons to come.
