Bayern Munich and Barcelona FC are two of the top teams in the entire footballing world. Bayern is a German giant who grabs big-name signings, like Harry Kane, whereas Barcelona FC has Lewandowski and Gundogan. Although they play in different domestic leagues, they often clash in Champions League fixtures throughout the years. And it appears as though they’ll be fighting again over Everton midfielder, Amadou Onana.

Onana is a super-talented midfielder playing for Everton this year. Despite Everton’s poor form and lack of competition toward the top of the table, Amadou Onana has stood out on the pitch every game.
Onana is a young, talented, and athletic player who continues to shine for the Clarets. He has incredible potential that will hopefully lead to a prosperous and long career for any footballing side he chooses. His speed, athletic ability, quickness, and tenacity make him a top prospect for any team.
So far this season for Everton, Onana has scored 4 goals and provided three assists in 66 appearances. Although he is not a goal machine, his consistent style and reliability have made him an attractive signing for many clubs.
And it isn’t just Barca and Bayern who want him. Onana is one of the ‘big gets’ for next season, with elite teams around the world vying for his attention. Any team that wants to sign this young midfielder needs to fork over at least 60 million euros to be in the running.
Does Barcelona FC or Bayern Munich Need the Everton Midfielder More?
Barcelona FC desperately need a new midfielder to bolster their ranks and provide more security. Sergio Busquets was a stalwart midfielder for the Spanish team that held the fort down as the number 6. Now, Barca needs to find a replacement to help fill the massive gap in the middle of the park.
It seems as though Onana is the ideal fit. But everybody has heard of Barcelona FC’s financial situation in recent years. The $60 million price tag might be just too much to justify for a young, up-and-coming midfielder.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich is also in the market for a new midfielder. Rumors have it that the German side might part ways with Kimmich during the mid-season window. This would allow Bayern to have an open slot on their roster, more money, and space for the Everton midfielder in the holding number 6 position.
And, based on the latest numbers, Bayern Munich is in a better financial spot to snag the Everton youngster.
