Nida Dar, the epitome of Pakistan’s captain, broke the T20 international cricket record as she became the highest wicket-take on Friday. She achieved the feat at County Ground, Northampton, during the second T20I match between England and Pakistan.
The disappointment of having lost the series, however, was quickly overcome by the remarkableness of Nida Dar as the top ranker in women’s T20I cricket. This is indeed the highest point in her career and a great moment for the team.

Last month, Nida Dar was the second Pakistani bowler to claim one hundred wickets in One-Day-Internationals (ODIs). In the T20 match between England and Pakistan, Nida Dar went past Australian swing bowler Megan Schutt by getting two wickets for 33 runs within a four-over spell, breaking the record.

Despite entering the record books in the T20 format, Pakistan had a poor outing in the match with a 65-run loss to England, which ensured the series was clinched by England. Alice Capsey from England just bagged the Player of the Match accolade for her score of 31 runs and taking two wickets.

During the power play, they scored up to 48 runs. Bouchier was out for a duck at 66 at the midpoint, and Sciver-Brunt contributed swivel six fours in a quick inning on just 21 balls. Scoring at a strike rate of 147. Gibson finished the inning with impressive shaky shots, hitting 18 off nine balls, including two fours and a six.
Nida Dar broke the record twice in the tail end of the innings. She got the No.9 player out with the very first ball by sending some good sorcery.
