Arsenal’s EPL title hopes experienced a big dent in their last game. Mikel Arteta’s side’s defeat at the Emirates to the Villans pushed them back to second position. The defending champions Man City moved to the top by two points. At the same time, they still maintained their points tie with Liverpool. The Merseyside club had been on top but started having a poor run of games recently. As it stands, there are six games left for all of them.
A major headache for the Gunners is that City rarely drops points as the season draws to a close. Nonetheless, nothing is certain. Gunners ex-goalkeeper David Seaman has hinted there’s still a chance for them. However, there are conditions attached to this.
Arsenal EPL Season So Far

The North London side started and progressed through the season with a beautiful run of wins. They stayed in the top three pushing up against the in-form Spurs. But they experienced a big setback against Newcastle losing 1-0 at St. James Park. It was a game Mikel Arteta regarded as controversial. Yet they recovered quickly to continue their beautiful run. Until December.
December started well, but midway through the month, the Gunners capitulated. They lost 3 consecutive games. This dropped them to third position.
By the new year, they had a break in Dubai, wherein they had addressed some of their challenges.
They came back with a bang in January. Since then, they’ve maintained a consistent run of wins, drawing only with Man City. Although, they had a setback at the FA from Liverpool. But they avenged that loss in a league game.
April started well, especially with their beautiful win against Brighton. They were to face Aston Villa in their next game at the Emirates. A tricky game, but they expected to win based on their form.
But they were thrown off balance by the tricky Villans. They eventually lost 2-0. They will play the Wolves away in their next game. The results will speak volumes about their title pursuit.
David Seaman Views Arsenal’s EPL Title Hopes

The Gunner’s ex-goalkeeper believes hope is not lost. Despite their previous loss, the margin isn’t insurmountable. Any slip, as little as a draw against City could give either Arsenal or Liverpool an edge.
Seaman believes Arsenal could still take the title if they keep all their players fit.
The progression of the season had seen them struggle with some player’s fitness. Towards the end of March, they saw the majority of them regaining match fitness.
Yet there’s no guarantee. There have been underlying challenges concerning Saka’s fitness. So far nothing serious, but Arteta will hope it stays like that.
Seaman is confident if there are no injury woes, the Gunners could go ahead and win it all.
More Tasks Ahead for Them
The North London side still has a couple of challenging fixtures ahead. They’ll have to put the pain of their eviction from the UCL aside. Especially if they are intentional about winning the league. Arsenal will travel to the Molineux Stadium to face the Wolves. After that, they’ll host an old foe by the name of Chelsea. Their journey will continue as they take on the Spurs, Bournemouth, Man Utd, and finally Everton.
