The great North London rivalry between Arsenal and Tottenham took place in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The match decided for the Reds to move forward ahead of the table and extend the lead. Tottenham had the advantage due to their home crowd but still couldn’t convert the odds.

Arsenal was in red-hot, fiery form this season with the most optimistic manager in the Arsenal Football Club. The match was dominated mainly by Arsenal. The Reds took the lead with their great and impactful tactics and shut down Tottenham.

The most interesting part of the match happened when the fans were booing the Gunners players in full force. Even though the match was completely demolished by Arsenal, they went on a full rampage and played aggressively. Arsenal took the 3-0 lead before halftime, which minimalized the chances for Tottenham to even the odds. Tottenham followed up with 2 goals after half-time but unfortunately couldn’t win the match due to their lack of defense and the pace of the match.

Tottenham played better than Arsenal in terms of stats and possession. They had more shots, passes, and possessions but could not equalize and win the game. However, despite having control over the game, Arsenal overpowered them the whole game.

The match started when Tottenham was in control of the game with possession. Somehow, in 15 minutes, Arsenal received a corner where Pierre-Emile Kordt Hojbjerg scored an own goal, which gave Arsenal the lead. Fast forward to the 20th minute, when Cristian Romero almost scores the header but is off the post. Meanwhile, in the 22nd minute, Micky van de Ven scored but was found offside, and the goal did not stand.

In the 27th minute, while Spurs were in possession, they soon lost the ball as the Gunners started to counterattack with their beautiful passing towards the wing. Kai Havertz looked for an opening and slotted it towards Bukayo Saka, where he made a beautiful run, cut through the defender, and scored an outrageous goal, upsetting lots of Tottenham fans. It was 2-0 for Arsenal, and they made the crowd very angry.

In the 38th minute, Arsenal took a corner. Declan Rice rose for a challenge and delivered a brilliant delivery towards unmarked Havertz, who rose towards the ball and scored a header. The Gunners took the 3-0 lead against Tottenham.

After half-time, both clubs had time for a few substitutions. In the 64th minute, Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya made a terrible mistake by passing toward Romero, who controlled the ball and scored past the keeper. The Gunners now led 3-1.

After a while, in the 85th minute, Tottenham received a penalty due to the Declan Rice challenge and foul inside the box. Declan was looking to tackle the ball but instead hit Ben Davies, and through VAR, Tottenham received a penalty. Heung-min Son then takes over the ball toward the penalty spot and scores a top corner, leaving Raya clueless.

Tottenham was now only down by a point. But the half ended, and the Gunners defeated Tottenham. Thus, they reached their 80th point in the Premier League.

The Reds have a few games up their schedule where they might face Everton and Man United. The odds are different for Arsenal than Man City. Although Man City’s match fixtures are easier than Arsenal’s, the Gunners will be hard to beat for the top spot.
