Arsenal maybe didn’t get the Premier League trophy they were looking for, but they at least have one trophy to add to their cabinet back in North London.
The Arsenal manager shocked some of the crowd, but maybe not Gunners fans, as he won the Best Coach – Premier League award at the Globe Soccer Awards for all of Europe. Not only is this a huge honor and feat, but it is incredible, given the place that Arsenal was in for the past few years.
Arsenal Manager Helped Turn the Club Around
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, was a godsend for the club. Not only did he stick with the club through the tough times, maybe because he was an ex-player and had pride for his old team, but because he saw potential in the long term. And that long-term vision is exactly what propelled him to almost win the Premier League this season and win the Coach of the Year at the Globe Awards.
In just under five years as a new and young manager at this club steeped in tradition, he has managed to transform a lackluster and depressed squad into a revitalized team that almost won the league. The owners were doing poorly before, overspending and leaving the club in a huge mound of debt. But, Arteta came in, purchased players within the club’s means, and worked with what he had with the academy and his tactical awareness to raise the level of the team to contend for the top spot.
It is understandable why this talented manager won the coveted award, as he was able to guide his team to a miraculous 18 clean sheets, almost 90 points from the season, and ending in second place, just a point behind Pep Guardiola‘s unbeatable Manchester City squad that won for yet another year in a row.
Even though Arteta lost the Premier League, the Arsenal manager was proud of his team and his club.
‘I feel extremely proud because when I decided to stop my career as a football player, I thought all the joy and best moments were gone, and I was totally wrong because when I started my coaching and managerial career, I love it even more,. I have to thank all of the players, coaching staff and everybody involved at the football club for making my days so enjoyable, so inspiring, and for supporting me in this journey that we started four years ago that is hopefully going to take us right to the top to win many trophies.’
If he continues on the same path he is now, we do not doubt that he will.

Arsenal Looking Forward
Arsenal are in a great position heading into the 2024-2025 season. They just came off of a narrow defeat and second-place finish in the Premier League, surprising the entire nation, and the world, with their performances.
As the transfer window nears, we have a feeling that Arsenal will look to get some big-name players, increase their attacking threats, and possibly sell some substitutions who didn’t get very many minutes this past season. That will free up some financial spending money that they can use elsewhere to bolster their ranks and bring in some young players who are ready to show what they have at the highest level.
