Arsenal already have a stacked squad, but a new addition this year has really brought their game to the next level. The positive reputation of the club over the years has attracted the likelihood of many footballing greats, like Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and Bukayo Saka, but another name could be added to the all-time legends list if he continues playing the way he has this season.
But, just as football is a fantastic game, it can also be cruel. The current form and finesse of this young German midfielder could push out another stalwart in the Premier League, Gabriel Jesus.

Arsenal are currently in talks of negotiating a potential sale of a Premier League household name, Gabriel Jesus. The Gunners are actively looking to strengthen their squad by adding more financial backing to their regime and selling a hefty transfer fee player. Jesus joined the Gunners in 2022 from Manchester City, coming off of a huge season with the Merseyside team.
However, he hasn’t been a consistent man to score goals and provide assists as he was brought in to do for Arsenal FC. He has contributed well in pressing, attacking, passing, and making things happen, but doesn’t have the stats that a usual Number 9 should have in their game.
The mid-20’s player has an extensive resume, but hasn’t brought clinical finishing to the Arsenal team so far since his arrival. He has only scored eight times in 2,000+ minutes at the club, showing how his lack of consistency and fitness can hamper his effectiveness for the Gunners.
Due to this goal drought, Arsenal are considering selling Jesus and keeping another player instead – Kai Havertz. Havertz was abysmal for Chelsea FC, with many players calling him a terrible signing and an awful player to bring in from the German league.
However, moving to Arsenal FC has given him a new lease on life and encouraged his dynamic style, creative gameplay, and scoring abilities. He is not the best striker in the world, but his hard work, shooting in tight areas, and technical passing have made him an asset in keeping possession and scoring goals.
Although Havertz was brought into the squad to act as a midfielder, predominantly as a slightly-holding Number 8 who can play between the boxes, link passes, and keep possession, he has succeeded more as a Number 10 and attacker who makes things happen. He is dynamic, fast, and creative.
This creativity and movement off the ball has led to goals and assists in key games for the Gunners this year. He currently has 12 goals and six assists for his side so far this season, with seven of the goals coming from him starting as a striker instead of a holding midfielder.
Havertz’s natural attacking style and physical prowess might mean that he could be favored over Jesus, especially since he has more versatility to play as a midfielder than Jesus playing elsewhere. His extreme height, speed, and aerial prowess make him a real threat for Arsenal FC to have in the box in terms of crossing and getting headers on the ball.

If they keep these key players, Arsenal FC could remain in the top three teams in the 2024-2025 Premier League season.
