Agitated fans filled PNC Park, the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, as the Yankees won the second game of the series 9-4. The Pirates fans were agitated as they started a young left-handed pitcher named Bailey Falter. The owner of the Yankees during the heydays of the 1920s and 1930, Col. Jack Rupert, said a good day was the Yankees jumping out to an 8-0 lead and pulling away slowly. That is the feeling when the Yankees play the Pirates. Do you think the Pittsburgh Pirates will ever beat the New York Yankees?

Scoring Summary: Yanks Against Pittsburgh
Austin Wells singled in the second inning and that scored Jazz Chisolm Jr. and gave the Yankees a 1-0 lead. Wells is off to a hot start, as there was agitation on the part of the Yankees about him catching full-time. Jazz Chisolm stole second base, so the Yankees manufactured a run. Trent Grisham hit a solo home run in the third inning, giving the Yankees his second home run, giving the Yankees a 2-0 lead. Clay Bellinger still has an agitated back, though he was available and did take batting practice today.
Ke’Bryan Hayes drove in Bryan Reynolds with an RBI double in the fourth inning. That cut the Yankees’ lead to 2-1. Valdez hit a 2 run double off the right field wall. That also occurred in the fourth inning, and the Pirates led 3-2. Then, on a groundout by Eny Rodriguez, Jack Suwinski scored for the Pirates and just like that they led 4-2.
In the fifth inning, Trent Grisham hit another home run. This was a three-run home run, and for the Yankees to re-take the lead, 5-4. With the bases loaded, Anthoney Volpe hit a three-run double in the fifth inning, giving the Yankees an 8-4 lead. Paul Goldschmidt had an RBI single in the eighth inning, driving in Oswald Peraza to give the Yankees a 9-4 lead. Austin Wells hit a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning. That gave the Yankees a 10-4 lead.
Notes from the Game
Fans were agitated because of a threat of rain delaying or postponing the game. The rain held off, which was a good thing because the Yankees and Pirates do not play in Pittsburg again this season. Young left-handed pitcher Bailey Falter was the starting pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The second time through the Yankees batting order proved to be his undoing.
The 17 Runs Batted In that Aaron Judge has in his first 7 games of the season are the most ever by a batter through 7 games. With a single in the ninth inning, he owns a 4-game hitting streak. The Pittsburgh Pirates scored the fourth fewest runs in baseball, which explains why their fans were agitated. The Yankees have almost as many home runs, 23, as the Pirates have runs, 29.
Conclusion
The Yankees destroyed the Pittsburgh Pirates for the second day in a row. This agitated Pirate fans. That destruction, plus the threatening rain, produced anxiety again among Pirate fans. Though Yankee starter Marcus Stroman claims he’s a starting pitcher, now he needs to pitch like it. He agitated Yankee fans, and he pitched only four innings in this game. Nevertheless, the bullpen saved him, and the Yankees slugged ten runs.
