AEW All In has been viewed as All Elite Wrestling’s biggest pay-per-view of the year and was the first unofficial show of the company as The Elite ran the show in association with Ring of Honor in September 2018. The event came back in 2023 as Tony Khan decided to run the show in Wembley Stadium and is doing so again this year. However, it appears that this show is not going to be remaining overseas as it is being reported that the AEW All In 2025 will be taking place inside of Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Let’s take a look at what we know and why this change is happening.
Why is AEW All In 2025 taking place in Texas and not London?
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported the news of a major stadium show taking place in Texas for All Elite Wrestling but he released that AEW All In 2025 will take place on Saturday, July 12 inside of Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. In the Fightful Select post, he mentions how talent were not told of the announcement ahead of time but was being brought into Dallas this week for media. This deal was part of the grander deal between All Elite Wrestling and Dallas as the company had a residency in Texas, which included Ring of Honor and AEW Collision.
AEW owner Tony Khan mentioned that he would like to run an event at Globe Life Field and the Texas Rangers were a client of his analytics company. He also went on the mention that there were no plans of running a stadium show in the United States in the immediate future but July 12, 2025, will be the first time they do just that. One of the reasons for the timing of this announcement was to avoid unrealistic expectations at this year’s AEW All In, as they announced during the 2023 edition that they would be returning in 2024.
Just because they are not heading to Wembley Stadium for AEW All In 2025 does not mean there is bad blood as Sean Ross Sapp also mentioned that a return to Wembley could happen down the line. It will be interesting to see how massive the event is for next year’s event. It will be interesting to see the reception of this announcement as it could lead to speculation about WWE Wrestlemania heading to London, as John Cena hinted before.
