At the 2024 Olympic closing ceremony in Paris, Tom Cruise wrapped up with a bang. The 62-year-old overcame gravity with a series of daring acrobatics during the Paris Olympics. He achieved his newest unrealistic goal to the fullest degree possible. In preparation for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, the actor touched down at the Stade de France to bring the Olympic flag to America.
Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise made a dramatic appearance at Sunday night’s Paris 2024 closing ceremony, descending on a wire from the stadium’s roof onto the ceremonial stage. After being given the Olympic flag with five rings, Tom leapt onto the back of a motorcycle that was just waiting. After leaving the stadium, he saw a video of the Mission Impossible star returning to Los Angeles. The famous Olympic rings were added by the actor, who also scaled the Hollywood sign.
Tom Cruise’s Epic Flag Stunt
The Olympic flag was given to other American athletes, who carried it to several well-known locations in Los Angeles. When the Olympic flag did eventually reach Venice Beach, a stage was erected to formally welcome it to the next site. Great crown of American celebrities, including Snoop Dog, Billie Eilish, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, performed in front of an audience.
Officially, the Olympic Games have moved from Paris to Los Angeles in 2028, with preparations already underway. Next, before turning to some prepared scenes with the 62-year-old action icon riding a motorcycle through the streets of Paris and then getting onto an aircraft, Tom Cruise picked up the Olympic flag from Games star Simone Biles.
With a roar from L.A.’s own Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Cruise naturally leaps out of the aircraft. Then, to scale the Hollywood sign and change the O’s into the Olympic rings, Cruise performs his famous run across the hills of Los Angeles. After that, he gives the flag to cyclist Kate Courtney, who then presents it to skateboarder Jagger Eaton, sprinter Michael Johnson, and lastly Venice Beach.

The Chili Peppers were playing live on the beach, resurrecting their 2002 hit song “Can’t Stop.” Billie Eilish sang “Birds of a Feather” when they finished. Then Snoop Dogg—the other Games star—performed “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “The Next Episode,” with surprise guest Dr. Dre. Over the past two weeks, Tom Cruise has also been observed watching several events at the Paris Games, including Simone Biles’ incredible gymnastics achievements.
Although Cruise doesn’t often appear on television these days. But those who have followed the actor’s relentless pursuit of physically stunning scenes on the screen should not be surprised by the Olympic antics. Tom Cruise has fractured his ankle sprinting around rooftops in London, climbing the Burj Khalifa. In the previous five Mission: Impossible films, he hung on the side of an aircraft during takeoff, dangled from a helicopter, HALO-jumped out of an aeroplane, and drove a motorbike off a cliff.
Also, Cruise looks to be an adventure addict in his spare time. Glen Powell recently revealed that when driving his helicopter over the London skyline, the War of the Worlds hero feigned to lose control of the aircraft. But now Tom Cruise is back to wow the entire world with his unbelievable stunts!
