Aaron Judge is Having an Awesome 2025

Aaron Judge must win the World Series this year.

Aaron Judge hit one of three home runs in the Yankees’ 9-7 win over Arizona last night. He is batting .417 with 5 home runs, 15 RBI in, and an unbelievable 1.648 OPS. Last season Judge was the unanimous MVP with a .322 batting average, 58 home runs, and 144 RBI.

According to OptaSTATS, he is only the second MLB player ever to record 5 home runs and 15 RBI over his first six games since RBI became an official stat in 1920. The only other member of the exclusive club is Babe Ruth, who achieved the feat in 1932. Where do you think Aaron Judge will end up this year?

The Amazing Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge is the pied piper leading the Yankees on their historic 22 home run power surge. He has said after last year’s embarrassment he and the rest of the team are on a mission. Clearly, that is the case. His numbers this season are amazing and speak for themselves. With 5 home runs and 15 RBI over the first six games of the 2025 season, it is a feat only achieved by Ruth.

Judge’s red-hot start has him on pace to hit 135 home runs. Judge is also on a pace to drive in 405 runs. He certainly will not have such exorbitant numbers, but he may shatter records. If you remember, he got off to a poor start last season. He batted only .125 in March and only .220 in April. On May 1, he had only 6 home runs and 17 RBI. He has almost accrued those power numbers through just six games.

Peak Judge

Nobody knows how long Judge will continue this unbelievable performance, but this is his tenth season. He is already 32, and at his size, probably cannot be expected to stay at this level of production for more than three more seasons. If that is the case, what we are seeing now is remarkable, but it will end soon. The slugger is now at the peak of his powers.

Win Now

The Yankees need to take advantage of this great production and win now. It is probably too late as both Gerrit Cole is injured and out for the entire 2025 season. Slugger Giancarlo Stanton will be out until at least June. There is no timetable for his return. With both the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres currently undefeated, the Yankees may win the American League this season, but it will be difficult for them to win the World Series. It seems as though both the Padres and Dodgers are built to last.

The Yankees do have some good players. However, it is reasonable to wonder if Ben Rice, Anthony Volpe, Austin Wells, and Jasson Domingue, are good enough. There are also some talented players on the way for the Yankees, but they are unknown.

Conclusion

The most important variable for the Yankees going forward will be pitching. Not hitting. What Judge is doing, though unprecedented, does not matter much. It matters much more if Luis Gil, Clarke Schmidt, and Will Warren will be healthy and thrive. They must.
