On the other hand, Chelsea finished in sixth place, a poor finish from such a high-quality and financially-backed team. Now, after the first game of the season, it looks as though the Chelsea vs. Manchester City match could be one to watch. With Chelsea’s Mudryk, Dwesbury-Hall, and Fofana playing well in the first game, they could have a huge upset.
However, Manchester City does have quality players, such as De Bruyne, Kovacic, Silva, and Haaland, all of which can thread passes, win tackles, and find the back of the net.

Even though City is always favored to win, the lower odds this season point to the fact that other clubs are catching up, City might not have the best lineup and squad selection this season, and other teams brought in important players during the summer transfer windows. Other teams in the league, like Chelsea and Manchester United, brought in young and fresh faces from other leagues that can help the English sides progress and play a bit faster.
By replacing veteran players, the PL squads can strengthen the longevity and athleticism of their squads.
