Max Holloway is going to battle Ilia Topuria, the Georgian-Spanish mixed martial artist: their fight is scheduled for UFC 308. American Max Holloway is an awesome fighter, with 26 wins and 7 losses in a total of 33 fights. Max is looking forward to fighting a fighter from UFC 305. On the main event card of UFC 305 looms the fight between Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis.
These two are going to slug it out for the middleweight title, where Israel Adesanya is the championship’s challenger and Dricus is the title holder. Israel returns to the Octagon after a full year out. Naturally, this fight is attracting a lot of eyeballs, both by fans and fighters.
Du Plessis vs. Adesanya
Max Holloway: The showdown of the century in 2024 has already been confirmed. It’s the fight between Du Plessis and Adesanya. But that’s not the only scintillating fixture on the schedule. Some high-profile fighters who will be returning to action at UFC 305 include Dan Hooker, Tai Tuivasa, and Casey O’Neill. The co-main event is coming from the Flyweight Division, and Holloway, who recently defended his BMF title at UFC 300, will be keenly observing the action unfold on the night.
“I’m a big Kai Kara-France fan. I love him: he’s crazy and insane. Steve Erceg is a beast; in his last fight I picked him to win. I believe he’s going to be a champion, he’s a future champion for sure…he’s a killer, man. Maybe he goes up a weight class, I think he’s smart, and he’s super intelligent in there. That’s what I like about him,” Max mused.
Max Holloway’s channel features a recent analysis video in which he also placed his trust firmly in Steve Erceg, believing that he could become a champion some time in the future.
Max Holloway Appreciates Erceg
Erceg is a good fighter after all, according to Max Holloway, and he trained very hard and things were going perfectly until he was near the title shot. Erceg signed with the UFC early this year and almost earned a title shot in only his fourth fight with the promotion at UFC 301. There he lost a unanimous decision to Alexandre Pantoja. But before that loss, he had a great streak that led him to better fights. He dominated and scored nice wins over Matt Schnell, Alessandro Costa, and David Dvořák.
Erceg is going to have his work cut out for him against the now well-rested Kai Kara-France at UFC 305. Kara-France has not been in action since the contentious decision that went in favor of Amir Albazi last year. Erceg defeating Kara-France could create a clear path to a direct rematch for the flyweight belt. Ilia Topuia is going to fight Max Holloway later in UFC 308, following UFC 305 and UFC 306.
