PFL has rejected one of the great champions from the flyweight division of UFC. Muhammad Mokaev was fired by Dana White. The reason for firing the undisputed champion seems to be controversial. Reporters stated that the main reason for Muhammad Mokaev’s firing was that the champ was approaching PFL for a better contract. And Dana White did not like that.
Muhammad Mokaev, still the undisputed champion of the UFC, last fought against Manel Kape. Mokaev has denied all accusations leveled at him and has requested Dana White to give him another contract. He is still the undefeated Champion. He is young and has a lot to achieve in this career.
Rejection of PFL
Ray Sefo is the CEO of PFL. He has denied Muhammad Mokaev too clearly in front of everyone, like Dana White. Sefo thinks that PFL does not need such a fighter and that they will not handle such a fighter who does not cooperate. The CEO of PFL approached some people to learn more about Mokaev, and they came to the conclusion that they wouldn’t be giving Mokaev a chance. “I’ve spoken to people that are in the know, and he’s just a pain in the ass to deal with,” Sefo said Friday after PFL 7. “And so, no, we’re not interested.”
Mokaev is known for his vigorous attacks, and he is undefeated. He defeated Manel Kape in UFC 304 and continued his legacy as one of the top fighters in the flyweight division. Unfortunately, UFC 304 was the last fight of Muhammad Mokaev’s contract, and Dana White announced something that was not expected. “The matchmakers aren’t big fans of his for many different reasons.” A hint that Mokaev might fired is when Dana said, “I think the PFL’s going to get a great undefeated guy. Good luck to him.”
Muhammad Mokaev’s Dreams Shattered
As we know, Muhammad Mokaev is one of the few undefeated champions in UFC. He revealed that he works and trains hard in the gym and out of the gym for his Family. He had a family to feed, and he did not deserve to be fired. He expressed his love for UFC by saying that it’s his dream to be a UFC Champion and hold the Flyweight title.
In UFC 304, a few things happened that might have caused Mokaev to be fired by Dana White. He punched Manel Kape before the fight in a face-off, but he blames Kape for this happening. He apologized for that and made it clear to others and the officials that it was never his mistake or plan to punch outside the Octagon. “This is the first time I punched outside the cage. It was more personal. He was the one who head-butted me five days before Perez’s fight when I went to shake his hand in Vegas!”
Things are Unclear for Muhammad Mokaev
Muhammad apologized for his punches and said that he had never done that before, but this time, Kape messed with him a lot, and it resulted in a bad situation. “I will never let anyone bully me, and I never bullied anyone, but whatever happened, it happened; I don’t wanna keep going about it, but I will take a big lesson from it!”
A lot happened after UFC 304 with Muhamad Mokaev. But there are still chances for Mokaev to come back and Join UFC. He has shown affection towards UFC and mentioned to his family that he works hard for them to feed them, so there are higher chances for Dana to take him again.
However, as Muhammad Mokaev is such a competitive champion who is 23 years old and an undefeated champion and still has a lot to achieve with 2 million followers on Instagram, a lot of organizations are in line to take this champion and work with him. But it would still be a great win for Mokaev to join UFC.
