Juventus is one of the top teams in Serie A, currently with top-tier players like Douglas Luiz, Paul Pogba, Federico Chiesa, Moise Kean, and Kenan Yildiz. But, they are looking to bolster their roster even further with the huge signing, Jadon Sancho, from a Bundesliga team that will have the entire footballing world in shock.
This exciting player is still not even in his prime and has already made a name for himself as one of the best of his generation. He struggled in the Premier League at Manchester United, but has since proved himself yet again at Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga in Germany. Will Juventus sign him or will they let him go by the wayside?
Juventus Could sign Jadon Sancho for Next Year
Jadon Sancho, a 24-year-old who currently plays for Manchester United and is on loan at Borussia Dortmund, could be headed to Serie A in Italy if everything goes according to plan. Manchester United reportedly sent Sancho another offer to stay at least one more year, but he has turned down the contract to go elsewhere to further his career.
Jadon Sancho began his youth career at Watford before moving to Manchester City between 2015 and 2017, already catching the eyes of some of the best coaches in the country. Then, to mark his senior debut, he went to Borussia Dortmund, where he went on to make 104 appearances and scored 38 goals between 2017 and 2021 — at the young age of just 17.
Then, Jadon Sancho wanted to take his talents to the Premier League to show England and his home country what he had been practicing all these years. However, he struggled to find form at Manchester United, whether it was due to Erik ten Hag as coach or because of the playing style, and has since gone back to Dortmund on loan since 2024.
Now, Juventus could bring on Jadon Sancho to bolster their squad next season and see if the speedy and talented winger/midfielder can bring some attacking threat to their side.
Juventus Looking Forward
Juventus ended the 2023-2024 Serie A season in third place, just four points behind Milan in second with 75 points, but way off the pace of Inter Milan who won the league with a whopping 94 points. Inter scored 89 goals for their team this year compared to Juventus’ abysmal 54 goals — it is amazing they did so well, considering they only scored this many in 38 games, but they only let in 31 goals in 38 matches played.
This goes to show they have a strong defense, but need more scoring threats — this is where Jadon Sancho comes in handy. Sancho has proven that he can score in the Bundesliga for Dortmund, so if he can take this prowess and accuracy to Serie A, Juventus could have struck gold.
Sancho’s career is more than over at United, as he feuded with the previous coach — ten Hag — and took his troubles to social media. He deleted his social media post, but he never apologized to the manager, showing signs of distress and unrest among the club. It seems as though going abroad to another country could be his best bet to rejuvenate his career and help the Italian side.
For Juventus to capture Jadon Sancho next year, they will have to pay more than $40 million in transfer fees and pay more than $200k per week for the winger.
