Jay Shah Confirms Sensational Rohit Sharma as Test Captain for the Coming WTC

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has appreciated the Indian cricket team by extending his congratulations on Team India winning the T20 World Cup title in the West Indies on Sunday. Addressing the Indian fans in a video message, Shah came out in support of Rohit Sharma and declared the possibility of the India team winning the WTC Final next year and the Champions Trophy.

He took his time to congratulate the Men in Blue and dedicated the win to the outgoing coach, Rahul Dravid, and the senior players, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja, who announced their T20I retirements after the Barbados triumph against South Africa.

Team India makes history, and I congratulate them for the same,”

We were in the WTC final but lost it. We did it in November 2023, ten times in a row, but couldn’t win the ODI World Cup. I have said in Rajkot that we will win the Cup in June 2024, we will win hearts, the World Cup, and raise India’s flag high, and our captain exactly did it.
