In his messages on Twitter, Shahzad pressed upon the fact that nobody should talk about Babar Azam or any other cricketer or former Indian captain. This shows the immense respect that Kohli has in the entire cricketing world, irrespective of teams or, say, competitors.

When asked about comparisons between Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, and himself, Shahzad was unequivocal.
There is no one like Virat Kohli, let alone me or anybody else. People even compare him with Babar Azam. He should not be compared to anyone. He has an amazing strike rate and average in ICC tournaments.
He’s one and only Virat Kohli, and he got the send-off that he deserved. I am happy as a cricketer that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma got the send-offs that they both deserved.
